If a restaurant has truffle parmesan french fries on the menu, I’m probably going to order them. I love crispy, salty, rich fries! We had a burger night at home and I took on the challenge to make air fryer truffle parmesan fries at home. Use an air fryer to cook frozen french fries (saving you the trouble from cutting them) and let the truffle oil do all the work. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to get restaurant quality french fries made right at home.

Frozen shoestring french fries?
Yes, this recipe calls for frozen french fries. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good homemade, hand cut fry. You can still use a homemade fry for this recipe, but today calls for simplicity. Save yourself the time and extra dishes by using frozen shoestring french fries.
Getting the shoestring cut french fries is important! It gets you that thin, crisp french fry. I’ve made this recipe with regular cut fries and they’re okay, but shoestring feels like the restaurant. You’ll use your air fryer to cook the french fries according to the instructions on the package.

Use an air fryer to cook french fries
This recipe uses an air fryer to cook frozen french fries. I love my air fryer, especially right now in the Texas summer weather. It helps to get your french fries extra crispy.
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can still use your oven! I recommend baking your fries on a wire rack to help get that crispiness on your french fries. Turn them halfway through to get an even cook all around.
You’ll cook the frozen french fries according to the instructions on the package.
Season fries with truffle oil, parmesan, and other toppings
After the french fries are finished cooking, put them into a mixing bowl. Add the salt and pepper, then toss the fries.
Truffle oil is a little pricey, but a little goes a long way. You’ll add this to your pantry for the many batches of air fryer truffle parmesan french fries you’re going to make in the future. Truffle oil can also be added to other dishes like mashed potatoes or mushrooms! I like to add the truffle oil on the sides of the bowl so that I don’t drench some fries in the oil. Toss the fries in the mixing bowl to get some of that oil on them.
Add the grated parmesan and dried parsley to the fries. Freshly grated parmesan cheese elevates the dish, but buying a bag of grated parmesan works too! Dried parsley is an optional topping that adds color to the dish.
Easy air fryer truffle parmesan fries
I’m telling you, the hardest part of this recipe is waiting for the fries to finish cooking. I was so surprised that restaurant quality truffle parmesan fries were so easy to make at home! Make these at home to enjoy with a burger or make a large batch to impress your family and friends at a gathering. If you make them, let me know what you think!
